Program Description

Event Details

Special Education Attorney Laura Heneghan will present a brief overview of parental rights in special education as they relate to dyslexia and then focus on what these look like in real-time during the process.  What happens if the district refuses to evaluate your child or you disagree with their evaluations?  How do Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) work?  What happens when the parents don't agree with what is being proposed in the PPT meeting?  How do I know if my child is making progress? When should a parent file for due process, and what does that really mean?

Program will take place in the Library's Community Room. Registration is appreciated.
