UCONN certified master gardener Melissa Timmerman will share how to enjoy nature indoors this winter with an interactive class on houseplants. Hands-on topics include proper watering and feeding techniques, how to propagate from the parent plant to create new plants, how to diagnose problems, repotting, light requirements, soils, pest control, how plants can enhance your décor, and the benefits of tending to living plants in your home.
Each participant will take home their own young beginner-friendly plant and hopefully it will spark a lifetime enthusiasm for growing plants!
Resources for further study will be provided.
