The modern library as we know them, free to use, evolved slowly, starting in the 1830s. It would take more than a hundred years of evolution for libraries across the country, to work towards a standard
set of public-oriented milestones. Today, we expect digital access, interlibrary loans and a host of other services and our libraries deliver. Learn how our library systems developed from colonial times
into the powerhouse of information they provide today in this presentation by historical storyteller, John Cilio.

You will have a new appreciation for your library after attending this talk!
