Program Description

Event Details

This engaging class introduces students to the essential principles of responsible dog and cat ownership. Former vet tech Isabella Laufer will cover core topics like feeding, grooming, exercise, basic training, routine veterinary care (such as vaccines, flea/tick and HWP), as well as common illnesses, and understanding pet behavior. Whether you're a first-time pet owner or an aspiring animal professional, this course lays a strong foundation for building safe, happy, and healthy relationships with companion animals.

Plus, we'll be getting a special visit from Isabelle's adorable pet corgi, Piper!

This program is part of our Adulting 101 Life Skills workshop series, sponsored by the Brookfield Education Foundation. Each Adulting 101 program includes workshop-relevant freebies for you to take home and kickstart your journey towards self-sufficiency.
