The Dot tells the story of Vashti, a girl who begins a journey of self-discovery after she is challenged by her teacher to “make her mark.” Her story is one of bravery, creativity, and self-expression.
In celebration of Peter H. Reynolds’ award-winning book, we will be offering Grab & Go Kits for children (or anyone!) to get make their own “dot.” Show off your creativity and express yourself with various craft elements in your kit, and return your finished dot to the library to be displayed in our Children’s Department.
Please register for your kit and pick it up outside the library starting September 11; you must sign up to receive a kit.
Visit the Children’s Department that week and complete some other activities commemorating International Dot Day!
