The American Job Center will be bringing its mobile Career Coach to the library for this workshop.

The Career Coach makes weekly visits to cities and towns in CT in coordination with community organizations. When you step aboard the Career Coach, you are greeted by expert staff and seated at one of ten (10) computer workstations. Come aboard and use our high speed Internet access, and print resources at no cost to you!

Our "Mastering File Explorer" workshop is here to make using your computer's files easy. Whether you're new to this or want to get better at it, this workshop is all about helping you become good at organizing your digital files and documents. 

  • Learn about the different parts of Windows File Explorer and how to use them effectively. 
  • Discover how to organize your files by creating folders to keep things neat and tidy. 
  • Master the art of quickly finding the files you need using search features. 
  • Explore how to relocate files to different folders effortlessly. 
  • Learn to duplicate files easily so you always have a backup. 
  • Understand how to remove files you no longer need and the importance of the Recycle Bin. 
  • Explore the safety net of the Recycle Bin and how to recover accidentally deleted files.
