"The Lone Violin"
A Recital of Music by J.S. Bach
Performed by Brunilda Myftaraj
About the Violinist, Brunilda Myftaraj:
Albanian-American violinist Brunilda Myftaraj has drawn enthusiastic accolades from audiences as well as critical acclaim for her masterful musicianship in Albania, Italy, Greece, France, Morocco, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Israel, and in the United States. She has been praised by the New London Day critic as an “especially fine and beautiful player." Although Myftaraj’s teachers are some of the world’s finest, her true inspiration comes from audiences and her students. Her recordings of “Naked Violin” and “The American Pie” received impeccable reviews from Fanfare magazine.
Ms. Myftaraj held the position of Concertmaster for the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Connecticut Lyric Opera and Greve opera festival in Italy for 15 years. Currently she is an active teacher, chamber musician and concert violinist. In the fall Brunilda will be pursuing a higher education at Suny Stony Brook University in performance where she will have the privilege of continuing her studies with her former teachers, the members of many time Grammy winners The Emerson string quartet. Her Bach performances are getting high recognition from audiences throughout Connecticut. Ms. Myftaraj along with her husband Adrian Sylveen, gave a thrilling performance at Carnegie hall in January 2023 of Bach’s concerto for 2 violins.
