Be True to Yourself with Brendan Slocumb

The Brookfield Library is delighted to welcome Brendan Slocumb, author of last summer's One Town One Read -  The Violin Conspiracy - for two innovative and thought-provoking presentations.  Today, Mr. Slocumb is the keynote speaker at Brookfield High School's "Diversity Day."  Addressing the theme of "being true to yourself," he will share his powerful and poignant experiences growing up as a young Black classical musician.  Mr. Slocumb's presentation will be live streamed for an audience in the Library's Community Room.  Mr. Slocumb's visit was made possible by a generous grant from the Brookfield Education Foundation.
