Patrick Scalisi & Valerie Ruby-Omen, authors of Connecticut Cryptids: A Field Guide to the Weird & Wonderful Creatures, are here to talk about creature folklore all throughout the state of Connecticut.
A "cryptid" is a creature that is believed to exist (like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster) but never proven to exist. They have been part of CT culture and history from as far back as the 1600s to as recently as the 2020s.
